Notes for users of versions before 1.0.2

Version 1.0.2 revamps the image library handling internally. there are additional tags in the project's XML file, thumbnail sizes have changed and preview images are scaled now by default.

Preview of a document not yet previewed unter version 1.0.2 may need some time as the images have to be scaled. Scaled images are stored in the thumbnails directory so further presentations of the document are at normal speed.

Thumbnails in the image library are completely recreated once. The first time, the whole image library is rescanned. Further rescans will need less time as they used to as HelpSetMaker now recognizes unchanged images and does not operate on them as it used to.

Mixed working on a project with HelpSetMaker version 1.0.2 and versions down to and including 0.9.6 should be possible while being stongly discouraged. 1.0.2 stores more information in the project's XML file which gets lost when the project is saved with an earlier version. The next time the project is opened with 1.0.2, much of the initial work described above will happen again.

After an evaluation phase, you should switch to 1.0.2 in your complete workgroup.
