Notes for users of versions before 1.2.0

From version 1.2.0 onwards, image data caching is not done in the project-global configuration file anymore. Instead, image size information, timestamps, and thumbnail data are stored in the user-specific presets. The change helps version control systems which could have become confused about changes in the main project configuration file and were unable to merge different versions.

Projects are converted automatically when opened for the first time with version 1.2.0. If reopened with an earlier version, the image cache will be reconstructed which might need some time. The information about the image file root directories is not lost, however.
